I purchased a breville barista express and mostly enjoyed it, but I didn’t like the idea of cleaning up after every latte I made, so I’m considering a fully automatic machine. My #2 pick, the Lucca A53 had the nifty front loader and bluetooth tech, but both of those really don't make me feel like I am giving up anything by choosing the Rancilio as the rancilio will be in an open space so top filling won't be a problem and the Lucca App has 1.1 stars on the apple store. The search for a perfect at home espresso machine is one of the biggest discussions and choices for coffee enthusiasts. I asked myself what will I miss by choosing the Rancilio, and I found that I wasn't missing much. The truth is that each strength is over extracted and bitter. It works more or less, you can chose your own beans but that’s almost all of your choices. The Truebrew boasts several cup sizes at varying strengths, including espresso style. Maybe a sports car with a automatic routing by RedHat Linux, steering by Microsoft, trottle by Apple and Breaks by IBM. I went from a cheap drip machine + grinder thinking this would improve my morning coffee experience. I am not one to just drink the espresso flavored Kool-aid yet though. This is an example of how longterm testing of a product can be valuable. When I bought the machine there were limited reviews on Reddit, so I took the gamble. My initial concerns was serviceability in the US as I had not heard of it before my research, but my concerns were squelched by the comments of those who vouched for the Rancilio community and longevity of the Rancilio line of espresso machines. (Edit: After careful review of the suggestions, comments and recommendations, I decided to go with the Rancilio Silvia Pro X. I am currently leaning towards the rancilio as I think the pink one will go well with the grinder. I have been looking at these three dual boilers but was curious as to what others think/advise: It comes with a stainless steel body, a commercial steam wand, and a 58mm portafilter which is commonly found on commercial espresso machines. Perhaps it was more of an appliance to begin with, depending on their own budget, which for some people is more than enough to make them happy and enjoy 'espresso' coffee via pressurized baskets.
